I would just like to say, I am really loving being a Chicago Wedding Photographer. The food, the people, the places... and did I mention the food? Chicago is great for so many things... except maybe for rain and 5 month long winters. (please accept the exaggeration, call it literary hyperbole) That being said, here is a rainy'ish day wedding I had the pleasure of shooting for Mark and Lauren.

Remember Mark & Laurent all the way back in 2008? I shot their engagement pictures just over a year ago in the chicago river north area... don't remember? fret not, here is a link

They had me start the day where Lauren and her girls were getting their hair done... as you might be able to notice. :D

and they saw each other for the first time in the church gym...

and that's when we got the party started... still rainless.

and it was soon after these group shots that the rain started to drizzle. It was really, really perfect timing.

my thoughts on rainy weddings? they are just as cool as the sunny ones... its the love shared by the people there that make a wedding truly memorable.
